The custom pair of Viberg Boots that I wrote about a few weeks ago just arrived. I had them made of a beautifully complex brown Chromexcel leather from Horween, set on a Vibram #269 sole and a deadstock Cat’s Paw heel. I especially love the supple hand of the contrasting black calf hide tongue. I expected an arduous break-in period but I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how comfortable the boots have been right out of the box. These will be put to good use for a very long time.
